Romeo’s Story…
Age: 2-5 years - Sex: male - Weight: 23 lbs - Good with dogs: yes - Good with cats: unknown - Good with children: yes - Cratetrained: no - Housetrained: yes - Health concerns: none
Romeo, Romeo, Wherefore Art Thou Romeo? Why, he’s right here in BTRNC Foster Care and he has settled in nicely! Romeo is house and leash trained but he is not crate trained and much prefers the “people” bed when given that option! Romeo currently lives with another Boston Terrier, a Shepherd and a Shi-poo and once he found his place in this pack, he adjusted well. He was surrendered for fighting with “Juliet” but we have seen no signs of aggression towards anyone while in our care. He has not been around cats and he is quite the “jumping bean” when first introduced to children but he did previously live with teenagers. Romeo will bark at his Foster Mom when visitors, especially men, come over until she convinces him that they won’t hurt him and then he is fine! He just needs a little reassurance. Romeo is a lover, you might’ve guessed- and he will shower you with kisses whenever given the chance! He will snuggle with you and other dogs and he sleeps under his blanket on the couch. Romeo loves stuffies and balls and playing “tug” and “fetch” and when running towards you with a toy, he hops on his front two legs! He is a little nervous in the car and it takes him a few minutes to calm down and he does cower at loud voices or raised hands. He has been busy learning a few commands and verbal cues such as “sit”, “leave it”, “go”, “hungry”, “treat” and “go outside”. Romeo is used to his people being home a lot of the day and he loves the company of another canine companion. He loves the fenced in yard and would love a family that would keep him active and busy! The adoption fee for this dog is $350.00 which includes altering, heartworm testing, vaccines, micro-chipping, harness, leash and identification tags. This dog is being fostered in a private home and is not available for viewing. Please say you saw me on Adopt a Pet.
