We live here in Denver, Colorado and Sophie and Baxter are lucky enough to get to enjoy nature more often than most dogs. We live just minutes from a huge river and waterfall that the dogs get to play in daily. We go on hikes, meet animals, and get to sniff everything these dogs could ever imagine! We want to see your dogs in action too! Does your Boston Terrier love nature? Prove it! Email the photos to woof@iBostonTerrier.com with the subject line “nature photos” and we’ll add it to the slideshow! We are just so excited to see your photos. To get you ready, here are some photos of Sophie and Baxter enjoying some of their favorite spots by our...

Libre The Boston Terrier Puppy Is Going Home Soon

Posted by on Jul 24, 2016 in News, Photos | 0 comments

Last week, we shared the incredibly sad story of Libre the Boston Terrier puppy. Today, we have some amazing news to share – it sounds like Libre is going home! Here is the entire story, direct from the York Dispatch: The bond between Libre — the emaciated, mange-ravaged Boston terrier puppy saved from an Amish dog breeder — and the rescuer who fought to give him a second chance is undeniable. “I just really connected with him. I don’t know why, because I’ve rescued so many dogs,” said Janine Guido, who founded and runs Speranza Animal Rescue in Mechanicsburg. “I get butterflies before I visit him. Something about Libre really captured my heart.” Libre’s reaction to seeing Guido during their daily visits leaves no doubt the feeling is mutual, according to Michelle Hall, a certified veterinary technician at Dillsburg Veterinary Center. The moment he sees Guido, Libre begins wagging his...

Boston Terriers are fighters, period. We’ve seen so many stories of Boston Terriers beating the odds and this story will have you smiling from ear-to-ear. Here is Buddy’s story via WBTV: Buddy the Boston terrier is a feisty little guy, even with some limitations. About eight months ago, he suddenly lost all movement in the back half of his body. Vets say he slipped a disk in his spine and damaged nerves. When Buddy got sick, vets told his mother, Karla Meador, most owners of dogs with his condition put the dog down. “The vet said it was just as much for his quality of life as mine,” Meador said. “I just thought, if he’s happy, I’ll suck it up.” Vets suggested his quality of life would never be the same. Meador decided she’d do whatever it takes to make...
