Brian was nice enough to donate the prize to our last contest and we wanted to share his amazing work with you. Here’s Brian’s biography from his website: My name is Brian Rubenacker. I was born and raised in a small town in Michigan. I have been a professional painter for over 15 years. In 2000, I painted my first pet portrait of my beloved Boston Terrier, Lacey, as a birthday gift for my wife. To this day, that painting hangs in our home. Lacey was my first Boston Terrier and my muse. She was a princess and wore pink pearls. She was the most comical and loving girl. She would demand I pick her up and stay in my lap for hours while I painted. Lacey is the studio mascot and continues to inspire my artwork.
My work has been featured at Green Rice Gallery, 323 East, Lift, Where’s My Bone, Dog Art Today, Phetched and on the CBS television show 2 Broke Girls. My paintings hang in many homes and businesses around the world.
I currently reside with my wife, Rene’, and our two Boston Terriers, Zoe and Sophie.
We are huge fans of Brian and not just because we both have a Sophie. His prints, t-shirts and totes are incredible and he also does custom prints of your dog. We highly recommend you go take a look at his Etsy store: http://www.etsy.com/shop/rubenacker
